Please check your own entry is correct. Any objections please raise before The Masters tees off. N.B. "My picks are sh*t" is not a valid objection - that is your own fault

There are 100 of us going for the big prizes (+ our good friends Control and Wisdom)

Prizes (TBC)

2nd - S$2800

3rd - S$1600

Best of Rest (<5 make cut) - S$600

Well done to all for nominating on time

Lets get this out the way. The following have no chance whatsoever:

  • Sohil 'Kung Fu' Pandya as he won the last M7 back in July last year and no one wins back to back M7s.

  • Darren 'Little Plum' Robinson winner of last year's Masters (no one successfully defends an M7 championship)

What does it take to win M7?

Some of you newbies (and some of the regulars) may be thinking "What does it take to win an M7?".....

Well the average winning score at the Masters M7 over the last 16 years is 43 points and the winner has only had over 50 points twice.

It's a smaller field and the winner tends to have a lower avg point score (PGA Champ - 53 points, The Open - 52 points, US Open - 54 points)

Who picked who?

70 different players picked which means 80% of the field are involved in M7 in some way! In fact it is actually 62 valid players (70%) as Wise, Fowler, Taylor, Davis, Griffin, Dahmen, Leishman and Casey were all in at least one of your M7 teams and are not making their way to Augusta this year. Which means quite a few of you have let yourselves down with the picking. 6 of you are playing M6 and 2 of you are playing M5 (some newbies in there - rookie mistake!). The most popular pick is DJ (76) followed by Day (58), Koepka (52), Scheffler(47) and Matsuyama (44)

The following all have over 20 picks each also

  • Rory (36)

  • Min Woo Lee (34)

  • Spieth (33)

  • Reed (31)

  • Connors (22)

as usual in the Masters, the picks are incredibly bunched

30 of you have the most popular 3 all in your team (DJ, Day, Koepka)

15 of you have the most popular 4 all in your team (DJ, Day, Koepka, Scheffler)

11 of you have the most popular 5 all in your team (DJ, Day, Scheffler, Koepka, Matsuyama)

Norman's team is Scheffler, Spieth, Matsuyama, Day, Min Woo Lee, DJ and Brooks.....does that sound familiar Jamie 'Bubbles' Hamilton and Richard 'Half In' Naughton? It's also only one player out from Justin 'Tally' Price's team (quelle surprise), Steve 'Romania' Ebsworth's and Darren 'Wedge' Heal's

We had a 11 valid unique picks in all - 3 of those in 1-10 category (Homa, Cantlay, Zalatoris). Chris 'COK' O' Keeffe the only one with 2 uniques in his team Tiger is the highest ranked OWGR player picked (995) - 9 of you have the GOAT

What about the LIV splitters?

There are 18 LIV players due to tee-off on Thursday and with most of them featuring on the wrong end of the OWGR it opened up an interesting and new conundrum for M7 players.

They account for 30% of all picks in M7

16 of the 18 have at least one pick somewhere in M7 (only Phil and Bubba miss out)

8 of you have swerved LIV altogether and don't have a single player in your teams. At least you can hold your head high when you are in the BOTR competition come Saturday

On the other end of the spectrum is Jonathan 'Nigel' Spink who has gone completely off-piste and put 5 LIV golfers in his team.

Speed and Uncertainty Fastest finger - Well done Tommy 'The Viking' Rathleff - entering before you'd even been given the nod (and helpfully finding a bug on the entry form!) Most entries - John 'Balsa' Wood with 5 Leaving it to last minute - Jamie 'Reverand' Green with 19 mins to spare

Best of luck!!

Live m7 scoring will be up and running tomorrow after tee off on https://m7golf.wixsite.com/m7golf.

I am away this weekend so live scoring likely to be a bit hit and miss. You can check the last time the leaderboard was updated at the very top of the live leaderboard page

27 is the M7 record score to beat - set at the Masters in 2021 by Matthew 'Beevower' Price but of course lets not forget the best record of the lot - John 'Cliff' Talbot Snrs even more incredible record of 500 pts.

Reminder - "You can't win M7 on the first day but you sure as hell can lose it" - Alastair 'Baloney' Loney
