M7 US Open - End of Round 2(ish) update

Another tough day out in Oakmont saw I think only 7 players go under par in round 2 which means that only 3 players remain under par over the 36 holes

Cut line at +7 means we lose a few 'popular-ish' picks - Niemann (56), Lowry (28), Fleetwood (22). Bryson also gone (11)

Sam Burns shot a days best - 5 to jump to the top of the leaderboard at -3. 44 of you have him and he is looking good at the moment with a few strokes to spare before he gets dragged into the pack

Michael 'Pogo' Paterson moves up from 46th(!) to 3rd place with 65 points. He has 6 through with 2 in the top 10. The only one on the podium at the moment with Hovland (and one of only two in the top 10 with him)

First round leader Alastair 'Baloney' Loney drops down one place to 2nd with 63, but he is still looking good. He has all 7 of his players through with his worst performer sitting in 23rd place. He's got some options and is only player on podium with Griffin, McCarthy, Young and Rasmuus N-P. A lot will depend on how they do, but like I say, he probably likes his odds right now

Giap 'Dec' Tjan swaps places with Baloney and sits top with 59. He's the only one on the podium with Siwoo and Im (although Im not low enough to score for him at the moment)

If you are in the chasing pack and looking to catch the leaders you are not going to do it with Scheffler and Rahm. 17 of the top 20 have both of them too (all 20 have Rahm). Really you are hoping that your 6th and 7th golfers (if you have them) can go lower than them and hope that pushes the leaders down.

Wet weather and storms could disrupt the day and impact scoring, so it's all to play for. Ben 'Lansdown' Hargreaves came from 27th last month after round 2 to snatch a podium so still all possible

19 players playing BOTR. Charlie 'Smirnoff' Vodrazka with 151 leading the way in that one
