The rain eventually came and delayed things a little, but what a finish it was (I was asleep so didn't see it)

J.J Spaun with a magnificent putt at the last to win it. Only Douglas 'Silly' Isles in 23rd had him so it didn't make much of a difference to M7

But what we did get was 3 FIRST TIME PRIZE WINNERS.....

Alastair 'Baloney' Loney was there or thereabouts the whole tournament. Leading going into the final round he will probably rue Sam Burns +8 (moved him down 6 places and Rasmus N-P +4 (moved him down 4 places). All 5 of his golfers were in the top 10 (6 in top 12) but he ended up in 3rd place with score of 35. S$1600 winging its way to him at the end of the season. He enters the hall of fame in 82nd position

Just 2 points ahead was Michael 'Pogo' Paterson on 33 points. He started the day in 2nd and ended it in the same position. Reed gained 16 positions in the final round to make it to 23rd but Pogo didn't need him with all 5 of his golfers finishing in the top 12. Pogo was already on the hall of fame but that was just for his wooden spoon back in the 2019 Masters. This 2nd place lifts him up to 112th. S$2800 on its way to him at end of season

But taking home the main prize was Richard 'Schlungs' Sexton. Schlungs was outside the podium going into round 4 but only just. Small gains from Cameron Young, Hatton and English were enough to offset the Burns move from 1st to 7th. His final score was an excellent 29, especially as his best golfer was 4th and he takes home $5000 and enters the hall of fame in 30th position

Top 15 looked like this:

In the BOTR, a funny thing happened. Corey Connors withdrew before round 4 bringing another 22 players into BOTR and it was two lucky beneficiaries of that that share the prize. Lewis 'Wildebeest' Wood / Tom 'Damage' Sarginson on 140 share the S$600

Conners WD also meant Chris 'COK' O'Keeffe dropped to the bottom of the pile and gets the wooden spoon with 294 points

Well done to all the winners. Just a few weeks until our final M7 of the year at Royal Portrush

See you all there
