Full picks are in the email I sent. Please check your own entry is correct. Any objections please raise by this time tomorrow to me.
There are 99 of us in the running (+ our good friends Control and Wisdom) - no show from an ill Ben 'Proper Chopper' Harris but from recent personal experience, this just allows you to enjoy your weekend and get the pain out of the way early.
Last time out Bill 'You're 'avin a' Lafferrandre III wiped the floor with the competition with a ridiculous new scoring record of 21 pts. Having picked up 3rd place at last years US Open he’ll be hoping for another cash out this week. But he wont.
Last years US Open however I’m reluctant to write off with the pedigree of Todd 'Ronald' McDonald
What does it take to win M7?
The average winning score at the US Open over the 14 M7 running’s is 52 with last years 23 something of an anomaly. A score of 40 would have won you 12 of the 14 so that’s the yardstick.
Who picked who?
78 different players picked and 156 starters. That’s 50% I hear you say…. Not if you count Patrick Reed, Joaquin Nieman who were picked 11 times between them!
Steve 'Romania' Ebsworth playing M5 with the 2 of them is ballsy. Good lad. The other 9 M6ers aren’t out of it but im not sure this is a game you need to make harder.
Looking at Normans team 4 massive favs this week – Scottie (78), Bryson (69), Brooks (70) and Cam (54)
45 of you have 4 or more
23 of you have 5 or more
4 of you have 6 or more
And just the one boring sod who has all 7 ….. and his name isn’t Tally! Sean 'The Equaliser' Brennan take a bow (Tally had 6 😊!)
His and Normans team are completed by Tommy F (31), Sepp Straka (23), and Burmester (19). Other than those, only Hideki (21) with over 20 picks.
4 of you managed to avoid all of Normans team which with those 4 huge selections is some going - Be interested to see how you get on!
We had a 19 valid unique picks in all - 3 of those in 1-10 category (Cantlay, Homa and Souffle).
No one has 2 uniques but a shout out to Rob 'Glands' Hands and his selection of the GOAT. Love it.
Teaching pro Robert rock looks the highest selection ranked at 2152 – Interesting inside info Tim 'Nadia' Spragg?
Speed and Uncertainty
Fastest finger - Well done Chris 'Blubba' Watson
Most entries - Daniel 'Snake' Martin once again with 6.
Leaving it to last minute - Mark 'Teflon' Templeman with just 4 mins to spare
21 may be a ridiculous target of Bills, but of course lets not forget the best record of the lot - John 'Cliff' Talbot Snr’s even more incredible record of 500 pts.
Reminder - "You can't win M7 on the first day but you sure as hell can lose it…. especially if you forget to enter" - Alastair 'Baloney' Loney
