Sorry on the delay.... long week googling 'how to make the rough grow really fricking long in Rome' and hoping for the best.
At the start of the week i called out 4 people for going for the all US team especially a certain English scumbag.... well, not sure what happened to Adam 'Pirate' Shapiro, but the other 3 took out all the prizes which is not a surprise after the Europeans got their bottoms well and truly spanked.
Tiso took the lead early on Sunday and there was some tooing and froing, but with his super steady picks he always looked good. Winning without having one of the top 5 scorers as his captain is superb. He takes the crown, the adulation, and $2500 to boot. Well played.
Wobbly was the leader after Day 1, and well clear after Day 2, but Mcilroy waking up from his slumber cost him 6pts, and with it the title. 2nd place and $1250 was still a good result.
Michael McGarry takes an enviable record into the M7 next season if he fancies it. PLayed 1, Podium 1. Its an easy game for some. 3rd place and $650 on the way.
At the foot of the table, Barry holds on despite a late charge from RIchard and Milney. He gets $100 off entry next season for his troubles. The worst bit is you actually picked 4 US and a Euro hacker!!! :-)
S7 will likely return in 2 years time when i am hoping for the 8th easy home win out of 9 runnings. Bit of miracle gro in the rough and it should be grand.
M7 will be back in ......... depressingly.... 187 days.
