A Rosey day on Magnolia Lane

What a day 1 it was, with the greens Sunday fast and having patches of brown making it tough for everyone even with the Thursday pin positions. In the 31-40th bucket 54 of us on Smith with a further 21 on Garcia – The 7 on Rose will be smug with themselves after one of the most astonishing rounds in masters history. I reckon he would have taken level after 7 if you’d offered it to him.

Loooong way to go in both M7 and and the Masters but you have to fancy him if he hits irons anything like that over the weekend. Laser.

Strangely, of the top 25 only Mike ‘Moron’ Moran has him, and he is sitting top of the pile. Of Course Latino would be in the lead had he followed the sheep with Spieth, but its round 1 so meh.

Following them you have 20ish players within 20ish points and with a crazy tight leader board even the bottom half could come surging through. Would be some come back from these guys however. A Spieth blowout aside, looks like the magic 500 is once again unattainable but some nice high scores on the cards.

  • Non Spieth watch – 3 shot swing when his chip hit the pin and dropped at 20mph. 7 M7ers wont be happy with that. They have Kim 8th (x4), Poulter 30th, Fritelli 60th, Watson 30th.

  • Uniques - 5 absolute stinkers in Perez, Willet, Ortiz, Cantlay, Couples, Walker, 8 middle of the road that wont be winning you any prizes, & 7 that are quite good – Particular a certain fat fk picked up by Tiso in 4th (Hughes 13th , Stenson 20th, Xander 13th, Thompson 13th, Woodland 20th, Kokrak 8th, Reed 4th)

  • Norman – 31st place. Not bad

  • Control – 44th

Enjoy Rd 2.
